INTRO
hiiiiiiii!!! i'm vanta rainbow black (she/they/it). i'm a late 20's transfem creative living in seattle. however at the end of june, my beloved pride month, i will become homeless. i have a place to store the majority of my physical belongings for a while but, i will still need a place to crash. to stay. to live. in or near seattle. i know, it's a tall ask, but i have nowhere else to go. i have no family to turn to, so i must rely on the kindness of others. i don't enjoy having to do this but i also don't enjoy starving on the streets. after all i've been through and accomplished such would be a vastly unfitting end
WHO AM I?
i'm vanta. my main website is at vantaa.black and my main social media profile is on the cyberpunk.lol mastodon instance that i help run. i'm a pretty open book in regards to how i live my life. in fact, i've been IN books before! specifically Move Slowly And Build Bridges: Mastodon, The Fediverse, And The Struggle For Democratic Social Media. primarily for FediPact but also for my mutual aid work on the fediverse generally. i do a lot for the community we've spent several years cultivating on the cybersyndicate family of fediverse instances
WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
not that i believe anyone needs to particularly earn their right to a continued existence but, if you must know, i am a cherished pillar of my community. others' words, not my own! i don't repeat them lightly. i am the founding member of the cyberpunk.lol and seattle.pink mastodon instances, the cybersyndicate, a personal discord community, and more! we provide a critical social space for queer people to experiment and express themselves. finding such a space at such an important moment in my life impacted me profoundly, saved me even, so i want to be able to give that to others
